Blending chemicals can result in a mixture with the best attributes of each product. The key is learning chemical properties and how they perform. Safety, cost, environment and infrastructure impacts on your property and are all factors in determining which of these two products to use, what method to apply and the timing of applications for maximum results depending on the weather.


Salt and brine, consisting of calcium/magnesium and potassium can initiate melting quicker/better and keep snow and ice from forming and bonding to pavement. Compared to conventional untreated salt, these solutions can work longer and at lower temperatures while reducing the amount of salt needed, making it more environmentally friendly!


Treated salt with brine a distilled by-product used in conjunction with brine has corrosion inhibiting properties and performs better at extremely frigid temperatures (15 degrees or less).
